Western American Mailers moves from 720 Monroe Ave. to 5510 – 33rd Street and saves.
November 8, 2004. Grand Rapids, MI, – S.J.Wisinski & Company, the largest commercial real estate company in West Michigan, announces that Brad Rosely, Vice President & David Levitt, Sales Associate of S.J.Wisinski & Company have brokered a deal where Western American Mailers, Inc. has sold their downtown Grand Rapids building located at 720 Monroe Avenue and have purchased a new 27,000 SF building located at 5510 – 33rd Street that is closer to the United States Post Office’s Bulk Mail Facility on Patterson Avenue.
Western American Mailers has been providing mailing services from downtown Grand Rapids for over 40 years. Close proximity to the downtown Post Office was always an advantage but once the Post Office’s Bulk Mail Facility moved to Patterson Ave. the cost of being downtown has steadily increased for Western American Mailers.
“Over the years we have had many offers on our property†Said Tim Higgins, President of Western American Mailers, Inc. “Brad and David brought us a carefully designed offer and even helped find a new location to move our operation into, this is definitely a win-win situationâ€Â.
Tim also explained “The new location is closer to some of our major customers and once the I-96 & 36th Street interchange is complete it will be a lot easier to make our regular trips to Lansing, Detroit, Allen Park and other major Post Offices in eastern Michigan without driving thru the heavy traffic in downtown Grand Rapids plus just being closer to the Post Office’s Bulk Mail Facility will save us hundreds of dollars each week in driving time and gas costsâ€Â.
“This is going to be a great move for them, having better access to major clients and to the highway will create a real savings on their bottom line†Said David Levitt about Western American Mailers new 33rd Street location. “The 33rd Street building itself is also relatively new compared to the nearly one hundred year old building on Monroe, they should definitely benefit from reduced maintenance costs and their employees will enjoy the fully air conditioned work room that was not available to them downtownâ€Â.
Third Coast Development partners LLC have purchased the 720 Monroe Avenue location from Western American Mailers, Inc. for future development. Third Coast Developments plans for the site have not been disclosed at this time.
